Cut
Modern brilliant cut is based on optical calculations focusing on the maximum beauty of stone, which is the result of brilliance and dispersion.
The diamond cut has a round contour and consists of a crown (32 facets + table) and a pavilion (24 facets + possible culet).
The assessment of the cut quality consists of comparing the observed stone with the ideal proportions and the symmetry of the mathematically calculated model (symmetry irregularities are defined as cut defects). Deviations from this model are marked as cut quality, which uses the scale: very good, good, fair and poor. Some laboratories use excellent or ideal cut category for best diamonds. The final cut is called finishing.
The effect of "Hearts and arrows" is created with high-quality diamond grinding. You can see on the diamond a shape of the aforementioned title.
